Soon after the first round of betting, as mentioned earlier, the dealer spreads the flop cards in the middle of the table. This is where you have to take quick decisions about weighing your chances; you can either bet or can fold. For instance, if your hole cards are 7♠8♠ and the flop cards are K♦ Q♦ J♥, it goes without saying that your chances for winning the hand are quite thin; thus it will be prudent to fold in the above mentioned case. If the flops had turned out to be 7♥ 7♣ 7♦ for the same hole cards then you should plan your strategies to extract the maximum amount from our opponents. In short, the hole cards and the flop cards will decide your winning chances.

The Turn and the River Cards

After the display of flop cards, betting starts from the player at the Dealer button’s left and completes after every player has either called or folded. Then the dealer will put the turn card, after which the bets and raises will be doubled. If there is more than one player left after the turn card betting round, the dealer will display the river card. The final round of betting takes place and the winner gets the pot.
